Yesterday, in the midst of the cabinet reshuffle, President Boric reiterated the priority that no child or young person should be absent from school, mentioning that “we want them all back in the system”. We hope that in his second year, Minister Avila will be able to take concrete actions to reverse the lamentable figures of absenteeism and school dropouts that we learned at the end of the year.
